The Pantanal is the world's largest tropical wetland, spanning approximately 195,000 km²—roughly five times the size of the Netherlands. Located near Brazil's borders with Bolivia and Paraguay, this UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts extraordinary biodiversity.
During our week-long exploration, we traversed this remarkable ecosystem by car, boat, foot, and horseback. The Pantanal offers unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities, with easier animal spotting than the Amazon rainforest due to its open landscape.
While we didn't encounter the jaguar, we observed capybaras, caimans, giant anteaters, and countless bird species. These photographs showcase the stunning landscapes and wildlife that make the Pantanal a photographer's paradise.
