Santa Teresa, one of Rio's most charming neighborhoods, perches on a hilltop overlooking the city. Known for its bohemian atmosphere, art studios, and colonial mansions, this area offers a different perspective on Rio de Janeiro.
We stayed at Villa Laurinda, and our hosts recommended an excellent hillside restaurant for dinner. Afterward, we walked back through Santa Teresa's illuminated streets—an experience that revealed the neighborhood's nighttime character.
