In 2001 and 2007, we visited Myanmar twice, both were unforgettable journeys. Over the last weeks, I spent some time to re-live our travels through this beautiful country. Even then, military oppression cast a dark shadow. Today, it has only intensified. With so many global crises competing for attention, Myanmar's struggle is too often overlooked by politicians and media alike.

Most of the picture sets were added to the Myanmar country pages, including the selection of Cees Mutsaerts on the pictures he found most interesting.

Further more, I added a project called "To the people of Myanmar" as some form of tribute to the warm and welcoming people we met.
