In 2019, we journeyed through southern Brazil, exploring some of the country's most spectacular destinations. Our adventure began in Rio de Janeiro, a vibrant metropolis that captivated us with its energy and beauty.
Despite Rio's reputation on safety concerns, we found the city welcoming and navigable with sensible precautions. Our evening stroll through the bohemian Santa Teresa neighborhood, following an excellent dinner, remains a cherished memory.
From Rio, we ventured to the thundering Iguazu Falls (Foz do Iguaçu), explored the wildlife-rich Pantanal wetlands, and relaxed on Brazil's southeastern coastline. Each destination offered unique experiences that showcase Brazil's incredible diversity.
